Mrs. Harris' Grade 7 Social Studies Unit
- The Industrial Revolution was a time in history where things changed quite dramatically. Due to the agricultural revolution and the creation of new inventions, many people stopped farming and moved to cities for jobs in big factories. The changes were so huge, we call it a REVOLUTION.
- You have accidentally stumbled into your crazy Uncle Harold's time machine and launched yourself back in time to the Industrial Revolution! Work through this unit as though you are in the time period.
- As a budding historian, your task is to use your historical research skills to investigate the "past" and make some judgments about the "present". By the end of this unit, you should understand how the Industrial Revolution changed life for people back then and how it still impacts us today.
- Move through this unit to learn more about aspects of the Industrial Revolution before you begin the final project.
