Lesson 1: Primary vs. Secondary Sources
Here you will establish an understanding of the difference between Primary & Secondary Sources. Both are helpful in completing historic research, but for different reasons. Read the document below for more information (scroll to the bottom of the document). After that, there are instructions at the bottom of the page on how to take a quiz to check your understanding.
- Next, try this online lesson on your own. Click through the "Activities" at the bottom, especially, "See if you know the difference..."
- Now you will take a quiz on Google Forms. Take the quiz when you're comfortable with Primary & Secondary Sources. This quiz will automatically report to Mrs. Harris.
- If you received a score of 7 out of 10 or better, you have demonstrated a satisfactory understanding of Primary & Secondary Sources. Mrs. Harris has your quiz results. You may move on to your next topic if you scored at least 70%.
- If you did not get 7 out of 10 or better, see Mrs. Harris for a mini-lesson. Remember, you will be responsible for explaining the difference between these types of sources for your Inventor's Project.
YOU MAY NOT MOVE ON UNTIL YOU ARE PROFICIENT WITH PRIMARY & SECONDARY SOURCES!
