Independent Research Skills: Part 1
The next project below will ask you to go onto the Internet and research a topic on your own. The Internet is HUGE, so I need to make sure you're ready for such responsibility. Research is a serious thing, and we can't just trust any old website out there.
Play this game about evaluating websites and show me when you've earned your certificate at the end. You may want headphones.

Labor Laws & Labor Unions: Part 2
As industry grew and grew, the bosses became more greedy. They made the workers work longer hours for less pay and in more dangerous conditions. People started to speak up and demand changes like shorter work days, lunch breaks, pay raises, and more. This was known as the Labor Movement. The changes they demanded were called reforms.

Labor Laws & Labor Unions Mini-Project:
Below is a list of topics related to Labor Laws and Labor Unions. Choose one of the topics below to create a mini-project using a visual tool (hint: includes pictures and words) like Google Presentation slideshow, Thinglink, or iMovie (app on your laptop) ... more than a simple written response on a Google Drive document.
Give a brief history of the topic (WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY) and explain HOW this topic relates to the laws we have to protect laborers today. Carefully use the Internet to research your topic. DO NOT COPY WHAT THE AUTHOR HAS SAID, re-tell in your own words.
